Most NBA All-Star selections: LeBron James tops all-time list with record 20th selection in 2024

LeBron James is now the sole owner of yet another all-time NBA record.

On Thursday, the NBA announced that James has been selected as a starter in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, marking an unprecedented 20th selection for the 21-year veteran. The first and only time James missed out on an All-Star selection was during his rookie campaign in 2003-04.

20 years later, James is averaging 24.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.2 rebounds through the first half of the season. And while his seven-year run as the overall leading vote-getter has come to an end, James will be the West’s captain after receiving the most votes in the conference.

Here is where James’ latest accolade places him in the history book.
