Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Liam Williams fight date, start time, odds, price & card for 2024 boxing fight

Hamzah Sheeraz looks to continue to rise within the middleweight rankings when he faces former contender Liam Williams for the Commonwealth middleweight title on February 10. The fight in the U.K. airs on ESPN+ in the U.S.

Sheeraz turned pro in 2017, just as he turned 18, instead of an opportunity to fight in the Olympics. The 24-year-old is a former European champion and beat River Wilson-Bent in November 2022 for the Commonwealth middleweight title. His last fight was a TKO win in August against Dmytro Mytrofanov. All but four fights have been one via knockout.

“People are calling it an acid test, and it’s one of those fights where if I go out there and put in a good performance then I should be the name in the middleweight division – not even one of the names – the name in the UK to say the least so hopefully that happens,” Sheeraz said to Seconds Out via Boxing Scene.

A multi-time Welsh and 2011 Senior ABAs champion, Williams turned pro in 2011. “The Machine” beat Michael Lomax in 2014 for the Commonwealth super welterweight title and Kris Carslaw in 2015 for the British belt. He lost two straight against Liam Smith for the interim WBO super welterweight title. Williams went on a seven-fight win streak after and won the British middleweight title.

Losing against Demetrius Andrade in 2021 for the WBO middleweight title and Chris Eubank Jr. shortly after, Williams has won two in a row since. His last fight was a TKO win in November against Florin Cardos.
