Bills already facing severe disadvantage vs. Ravens in Week 1

The Buffalo Bills are gearing up to face the Baltimore Ravens to begin their 2025 season, and start the final season at Highmark Stadium. However, it may not be a great start to the season for the Bills due to the lack of talent they have defensively.

Buffalo is dealing with a long list of injuries in the secondary. Christian Benford has been limited in practice, and rookie first-round pick Max Hairston will be out for at least the first four games due to a knee injury. On top of that, veteran Tre’Davious White has missed practice all week. This means that rookie Day Three draft pick Dorian Strong will likely be the CB2, or perhaps CB1 if Benford cannot go. That said, Benford was a full participant on Thursday. That said, the lack of depth behind him is a real issue.

While Benford will be able to take away whomever he is matched up against, the rest of the burden will fall on Day Three draft pick Dorian Strong to carry the load in the secondary. Should the Ravens’ passing game be able to lock in on Strong and find success in doing so, the Ravens will be able to have a highly-efficient offensive attack, which doesn’t bode well for Buffalo.
