Randy Arozarena is in the midst of a season that’s never been done before.
It’s a bit quirky, so that’s likely why no one is talking about the history being made by the Seattle Mariners’ star outfielder.
But the feat involves quite the trifecta: home runs, stolen bases and times hit by pitch.
Arozarena is the first player in MLB history to have at least 25 HRs, SBs and HBPs in the same season, according to The Chaos Ball Podcast.
Entering games on Thursday, Sept. 18, Arozarena has 27 home runs, 28 steals and an AL-leading 27 hit by pitches.
He also has 30 doubles, if we’re adding on to the high-end stats.

Arozarena has been hit by double-digit pitches in each of the last six seasons. That includes leading the AL in 2022 with 22 HBPs.
But this season is a career-high in hit by pitches for Arozarena.
For that matter, it’s a career-high with the 27 homers, too.
His 28 steals are second-best in his career, behind 32 in 2022.
At this point, there’s no more HR-SB-HBP record for Arozarena to break.
But he does have a shot at the 30/30/30 season, so let’s root for that, because why not have Randy reach that round number trifecta? Baseball never ceases to amaze.
