As per reports via Fabrizio Romano, the Toffees are in advanced talks with Lyon over signing highly rated winger Malick Fofana.
Everton have reportedly submitted their official bid for the young Belgian forward, and now clubs are in full negotiations.
The Merseyside outfit have also reached out to Fofana’s representatives and are discussing personal terms with the youngster.
Fofana has been one of the most popular names in this transfer window, especially due to Lyon’s financial condition and compulsion to sell players.

Fofana moved to Lyon in January 2024 in the winter transfer window from Gent and became a great signing for the Ligue 1 outfit.

The 20-year-old winger is a proper ball carrier who loves to take on defenders and make penetrative runs in the final third. He is also a decent crosser.
Fofana featured in 41 appearances last season for Lyon, registering 11 goals and five assists across competitions.
The young winger has a contract until 2028, and Lyon are expecting a €40m offer for the Belgium international, excluding all the bonuses and add-ons.
As per reports, Everton have made an official bid in the region of €36m including bonuses, and it remains to be seen if they manage to reach an agreement with Lyon.
There were reports that Bayern have shortlisted Fofana as their fallback option if they fail to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool.
